SLT&CC has 16 lawn tennis courts, 15 Har-Tru courts, and one hard court. Our Clubhouse is on the National Register of Historic Places and is currently under renovation to ensure its preservation for another 100 years. The Clubhouse features Men’s and Women’s locker rooms, a snack bar, Pro Shop and grand main hall. Legend has it that turf for our grass courts was initially imported from England, and the courts have evolved to be a stand of poa annua (blue grass) and a variety of species of bentgrass. The lawn tennis courts are maintained at a standard of .310 of one inch, equal to the cut maintained on Wimbledon’s Centre Court.

The tennis calendar features tournaments, events, and clinics for Women and Men as well as Mixed Doubles, Family and Junior play. The social season begins with an opening party, following the annual Board of Governors meeting, open to all members. Throughout the summer we host events for families including Breakfast at Wimbledon and the Family Tennis and Barbecue Extravaganza. Opportunities for mixed doubles fun include events open to members and their guests including the popular Bisque tournament, Twilight Tennis, and Last of the Grass round robins. Our mixed doubles member tournament is always a highlight of the season, offering intermediate and advanced teams the opportunity to play together for the Club championship.
